Backstory
This song sort of wrote itself - in a peculiar way. I went to Melbourne each year to do a well-being festival and at the end of three days I sat by Port Phillip Bay watching the sunset and a seagull flew by and I heard the chorus - but no verse. The next year I was sitting in the same place and the chorus came back to me - but this time it had a verse - but nothing else. Sure enough - for the third year in a row - sitting in the same place the chorus and verse came back with the extra verses.
