Time to Fly
Backstory
This song sort of wrote itself - in a vary peculiar way. I went to Melbourne each year to do a four-day health & well-being festival and always on the final day I would go down and sit on the rocks by Port Phillip Bay watching the sunset having a joint - and one year a seagull flew by - and I heard the chorus clear as day - but no verse. When I got back to my mountain retreat I captured what I had heard. The next year I was sitting in the same place and the chorus came back to me - but this time - suddenly it had a verse - but nothing else. Went home and captured it. Sure enough - for the third year in a row - sitting in the same place the chorus and verse came back - with the extra verses. I had a song!
