Backstory
Consumer was inspired - like the other consuming songs (Silver Hands, Hype) - after shopping in the shopping Malls that exploded in the early 80's in Chatswood near where we lived - the fastest growing commercial area in Australia at that time! One day there was a lovely old park - next week it was a five story Mall! Everywhere you turned it was BUY BUY BUY, and not that it's any different now but at that time it was all exploding in our faces. I did 24 versions in Suno before I got this one!
